Our circular knitting machines take hundreds of cotton yarn cones and transform them into fabric, cone by cone, thread by thread.

The Needles That Make the Magic

Look closely and you'll find the real MVP of the machine - the knitting needles. Moving at high frequency and incredibly sensitive to the yarn feeding through them, these needles are what determine the final quality of the fabric.

Greige: Cotton's True Colour

Before any dye touches the fabric, it starts out in what's called "greige" - a soft, natural tone somewhere between grey and beige. It's simply what cotton looks like once it's freshly knitted, before it takes on any colour.

Melange Yarns for Extra Depth

Some yarns are dyed before they're even woven into fabric - these are melange yarns. They give the finished fabric a beautiful lustre, and up close, you'll spot subtle variations in tone that keep the fabric looking rich and alive, never flat or dull.

Ready to Cut and Sew

Once the fabric is fully dyed and inspected, it's handed over to our production team to be cut and sewn - the final step before it becomes something you can wear.
